It is difficult to count all words in the language, according opinion of scientists, there are about 450,000 – 500, 000 words in Russian.

Many words and verb forms in Russian are formed with the help of numerous prefixes and suffixes. That is what makes the language difficult to learn. Nouns in singular and plural use six cases. There are three tenses, past, present and future. Russian adjectives agree with the nouns in gender, number, and case by means of flexes.
